With its robust 21-inch spoked wheel at the front and its robust 18-inch spoked wheel at the rear, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R doesn't show any weakness even on the toughest dirt roads. Combined with Mitas Enduro Trail E07+ off-road tires, the spoked wheels can handle any trip into the wilderness - and you don't have to worry about cracks or chips on the rims.

When the paved road turns into a gravel track, KTM 390 ADVENTURE R riders can easily switch to OFFROAD riding mode. In this mode, some rear wheel slip is allowed, so you can better cope with muddy puddles and deep sand. In OFFROAD RIDING MODE, OFF-ROAD ABS is also activated. This allows you to perform at your best by locking the rear wheel and sliding into the corner. In addition, the OFF-ROAD RIDING MODE settings are preserved if the engine stalls or the machine is switched off. this means you can continue as soon as the engine is running again.

At the front, a WP APEX open-cartridge fork with a diameter of 43mm and 230mm of travel with rebound and compression damping, which can be easily adjusted over 30 clicks, provides control. At the rear, a WP APEX shock absorber with separating piston with 230mm of travel absorbs all major impacts. The shock absorber can be easily adjusted on the go with the rebound adjustment with 20 clicks and the preload adjuster can be adjusted with a tool.

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE range is dressed in a characteristic KTM bodywork and a distinctive KTM graphic. KTM's rally heritage is evident in the excellent ergonomics as well as the aggressive look. This is already noticeable on the headlight mask and the front wheel fender. For optimal control when standing on the footpegs, the tank spoilers and rear side panels are slightly wider than the seat. The shape of the fuel tank is also designed for maximum freedom of movement in difficult terrain. The robust engine guard, which protects the engine and rear silencer from damage, also makes it clear: dirt is not a problem.

A state-of-the-art, colourful TFT display adorns the instrument cluster of the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R. Best-in-class display Ul automatically adapts to ambient light. To help you get the most out of the power, the tachometer flashes when it's time to shift up. The 5-inch display is easy to read and shows you all the important information in a well-organized way. The multifunctional menu buttons on the handlebars make it easy to choose what information you want to see. All this is rounded off by a standard USB C port.

Some adventures last longer. But thanks to the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R's ultra-bright LED headlights with position lights – the best in their class – you'll always find your way home. The design of the LEDs is based on the larger KTM ADVENTURE machines. Even on adventure, you want to stay connected. With the KTMconnect system, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range can be connected to your smartphone. For example, you can make calls, listen to music and use the optional turn-to-turn navigation app via the TFT display.

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE model series has a one-piece, stepped seat. The bench seat can be easily removed to access the air filter box and a small storage compartment underneath. The KTM PowerParts team has also developed various seats to meet individual customer needs, from comfort to driving freedom.

The wide, robust footpegs, inspired by the KTM off-road models, hint at the peculiarity of the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range.
